The twin brother duo Mr. Atomic has an exhibition of new work opening at the Perrysburg Municipal Building gallery on Saturday.
Mr. Atomic: Strokes of Genius will be displayed at the building, 201 W. Indiana Ave., through Feb. 22.
Toledo artists Mark and Michael Kersey are identical twins who work under the pseudonym Mr. Atomic. They have been full time artists for more than 25 years, working with a similar painting style they call narrative pop surrealism.
Their show at the Perrysburg venue will be made up of a new collection of work by the brothers, according to the curator, main ART-ery.
The show will be on view through the Perrysburg Municipal Building hours of operation, which are Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

■ The downtown gallery 20 North Gallery opens a show of oil paintings Jan. 11 by local artist Aaron Pickens.
Toy Stories is described as a compilation of toy tableaux still life pieces that exhibit “a whimsical sense of playfulness that belies the serious narratives they symbolize.” Pickens addresses such topics as environmental issues, art criticism and gun rights in his work, the gallery show description further states.
Pickens will attend a public reception to kick off the show from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 11. The exhibition continue through March 30.

■ The Toledo Museum of Art is hosting public tours of its institution the next two Fridays, Jan. 4 and 11, at 7 p.m.
The events are expected to include detailed discussion and close-up views of gallery work, and will start in Libbey Court.

■ The Columbus Museum of Art on Feb. 1 opens a collaborative show with the Dordrechts Museum in the Netherlands that features 17th-century art from the Golden Age of Dutch painting.
Life in the Age of Rembrandt: Dutch Masterpieces from the Dordrecht Museum will remain open through June 16. It offers the display of 40 masterworks owned by members of Holland’s prosperous middle class from the era that span three centuries and had specific subjects, including portraits, landscapes, and scenes of everyday life. The pieces will be shown with related objects, such as coins or silver.
Some of the artists included in the show are Jan van Goyen, Willem van de Velde, Caspar Netscher, and Jacob Cuyp.

■ The Art Supply Depo and other local art venues have scheduled their upcoming workshop schedules for the New Year.
At the art supply venue in both Toledo and Bowling Green, interested community members can take beginner workshops in hand lettering in January, February, and March.
